March 15, 2017: Beloit Landlords WIN LAWSUIT!

After the change in State Statue with 2015 Act 176, Beloit Landlords approached the City of Beloit regarding their concerns that the City of Beloit's Inspection Ordinance went against State Statue. After no resolution, the Beloit Property Manager's Association, along with several landlords, took the City to Circuit Court in Rock County. On March 15, the judge in the case delivered a nearly hour-long oral decision striking down the Inspection Ordinance. Beloit Landlords are now seeking the return of fees paid under the now illegal ordinance.
